The setting is really spectacular and the views of the Mediterranean, Gibraltar and Africa are quite unique.
The course itself boasts well-defined fairways and large greens. The layout is challenging for all standards of golfer with several holes where extreme caution is required (you'll see what we mean!). In perfect weather this course is beautiful to play, but beware when the sea breeze is blowing. This is when the course shows its teeth and your score can climb. You can walk the course quite easily but there are ample buggies available and these are certainly recommended in the hotter months.
Alcaidesa have a second 18 hole course, designed by Dave Thomas and called 'Heathland'. With great views of the sea and the mountains the course is more varied than the old one with more water hazards.
The clubhoues and driving range make this a very exciting 36 hole complex to visit when you are on the Costa del Sol.
